Costa Rica's economy improving

The prospects of economic recovery in 2010 are optimistic for Costa Rica and Honduras, but are not the same for the other Central American countries, experts say the Central American Bank for Economic Integration
After the crisis that took the country from late 2008 until mid 2009, the economy of Costa Rica in 2010 has been greatly benefited as compared to the previous year grew by 6.3% in the first quarter. "Costa Rica's economy appears to be aimed at a clear recovery in 2010, with a growth rate of 3.2%, but could grow to 4 or 4.5%," Oswald said economist Céspedes, Central Academy.
Heavy investment in public works, with a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank, and the continuity of the ruling party following the elections on February 7, stimulate private sector confidence, said Cespedes
Costa Rican exports recorded one of the best performance in the context of Latin America during 2009 despite the international economic recession, this according to estimates by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), released by the Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER ) - that put the country as the second in the region whose exports declined less.
Indeed, this behavior favorable to the crisis could be confirmed with data from the fourth quarter, which was the lowest quarterly drop (of only -1.2% over the fourth quarter of last year) and offers a glimpse of the recovery of domestic exports, and positive expectations about a country's return to the path of growth in 2010. "The Costa Rica's economic recovery is firmly under way. Economic growth accelerated in the second half of 2009 and maintained its vigor in the first quarter of 2010. The attitude of consumers and businesses has become established and financial conditions have continued to improve. In general, the rebound in activity has been stronger than initially expected, "said International Monetary Fund Note taken from Newspaper La Nación C.R 22 July 2010
We hope that this economic upturn has taken the country continues to grow more and more to exceed the level we had before the crisis affecting us all two years ago.
